For one of my 3rd year assignments I had to create a "Hero Piece" to display my design capabilities in an area of my choosing. For my Hero Piece I decided to try and design a champion for League of Legends focusing on their gameplay and narrative/backstory. Prist
THE SCRAP SHARK
"Ye' want a story eh? Well I think it was time for a break anyways, gather up. So have ye' young'uns heard the tale of the new terror of Bilgewater? No? Aye well it's a spooky one if you think ye can handle it. Not long ago there was talk of a scrap thief terrorising the docks, they would sneak aboard ships at night and strip 'em for their metals and bits. One night they made the mistake of striping parts from Gangplank's ship the Dead Pool which right pissed off the grumpy sod. He put out a hefty bounty to find and punish the one who had defiled his treasured ship. A crew a' bounty hunters docked their ship and waited in hiding hoping the scrap thief would take the bait. Sure enough after the sun set behind Butcher's Bridge they 'eard the tell tale sound of metal being stripped away. They sprung from their hidey holes and spotted a young woman with makeshift metal bracelets going up 'er arm stripping away at the ship. She couldn't react fast enough and the crew grabbed 'er and brought 'er to Gangplank. The Reaver King paid the bounty hunters 'andsomely and then ordered them to dump 'er near the Shadow Isles as punishment. The men were reluctant to go so close to the isles but they didn't dare defy Gangplank so they did what was asked of 'em. A few days later the same bounty hunters were back in the docks when they heard the familiar sound of scraping metal from the end of their ship. When they checked they see a silhouette in the darkness lookin' like it was gnawing at the edge of the ship. They thought it was a giant warf rat but as they got closer 'an closer it started to look more 'uman until it suddenly looked round at the approaching men. What they saw wasn't man and it wasn't beast but somethin' else, like a person melded with a shark. Suddenly the thing shot something sharp into one of the men near the edge of ship then before any of 'em could react it had lunged forward, grabbed 'im in its jaws, smacking the others away with its tail and jumped into the docks with the man. The bounty hunters tried searching for their man but soon they gave up. Strange thing was though one of the swore on his soul that the creature had a band of makeshift metal bracelets running up its arm."

Abilities
Passive: Smelling Red - Prist heals for a percentage of her damage dealt to bleeding champions and monsters (Higher percent vs monsters compared to champions). Prist also has truesight of all bleeding enemies.

Q: Open Wound - Prist launches a sharp spine in a target direction, dealing physical damage to the first enemy hit. If the target is affected by Lunging Bite change the bleed damage to true damage.

W: Tail Lash - Prist swings her tail quickly in a targeted direction dealing physical damage and knocking away all enemies hit in the targeted direction. Any unit affected by Lunging Bite takes bonus damage from the bleed based on how far they were pushed.

E: Lunging Bite - Prist dashes toward the targeted location. Her next auto attack applies a bleed that deals physical damage when the target moves and lets Prist dash again (second dash does not empower her next auto attack).

R: Feeding Frenzy - Prist bites into a targeted nearby champion dealing physical damage short range point and click ability that does flat physical damage to enemy champions. If the target is bleeding it does percentage missing hp damage and Feeding Frenzy's cooldown resets if you kill your target.
Prist is a physical damage Assassin who specialises in single target burst. She is designed to be played in the jungle or the midlane. All of her abilities interact with the bleed applied by her E: Lunging Bite. When her target is bleeding Prist will heal from any damage dealt to them (excluding minions) and she'll be able to smell them no matter where they hide. Her Q: Open Wound can either be used to cs or harass in lane or in all ins used to turn Lunging Bite's bleed into true damage. Her W: Tail Lash is mostly used to guarantee damage from Lunging Bite's bleed as they take more damage than they normally would for the distance travelled from the knockback. Her Ultimate Ability: Feeding Frenzy has a short range but a powerful effect. Normally it only does a small amount physical damage but if the target is bleeding then it acts as powerful execute. Feeding Frenzy is only refreshed if it kills a bleeding target.

The standard trade combo while in lane is E towards the target, auto attack to apply Lunging Bite's bleed, Q to deal damage and turn the bleed into true damage, W to push the target away then E again to safety while weaving in auto attacks whenever possible.

A combo to gank or set up a gank Is to E towards the target, auto attack to apply Lunging Bite's bleed, using the second cast of E to get behind the target, then using Q to deal damage and turn the bleed into true damage and finally using W to push them away from their base or towards one of your team mates.

A full combo with Prist's ultimate to do maximum damage is as follows. E towards the target, auto attack to apply Lunging Bite's bleed, Q to deal damage and turn the bleed into true damage, W to push the target away then as the target is no longer in range for Feeding Frenzy use second cast of E to dash toward the target again in order to chow down with Feeding Frenzy. Be careful though because once Prist has used her second dash she has no other means of escape so I only go for this combo if you are sure you will kill your target.
